Tiger Management L.L.C. (“Tiger”) has announced a strategic partnership with Yulan Capital Management LLC (“Yulan Capital”) to focus on investing in companies in the greater China region. Yulan Capital is an investment advisory firm founded in January 2014 by Lilian Zhou, who has a history of investing in Asian securities. Tiger Management L.L.C. and its principal owner, Julian H. Robertson, Jr., will serve as a seed investor for Yulan Capital.
Julian Robertson, chairman of Tiger Management L.L.C., said, “Asia, in general, and China, in particular, offer great opportunities for hedge funds, both on the long and short sides. We are delighted to partner with an investor of Lilian’s expertise and capitalize on the opportunities in the Asian market.”
